3/13 Dirt Dog Run @ 8:30AM

Sunday morning at 8:30 the Dirt Dog Trail Runners will be running an out and back course on pavement from the Nejedly Staging Area of the Carquinez Strait Regional Shoreline Park in Martinez.  Once again we are running on pavement since all the recent rain has kept the local dirt trails muddy messes.  The course is mostly on closed roads and offers some fine views of the Carquinez Strait.  Older runners will recognize this as part of the Brickyard Race course.  The run will be held rain or shine.  Alex will be at the start to get everyone going.

Important Reminder:  Daylight Savings Time starts the day of the run.  Set you clocks ahead an hour Saturday night.

Driving Directions:  From the 680/24 interchange take 680 North.  Exit onto Route 4 West.  Take the Alhambra Ave exit.  Go North on Alhambra Ave towards Martinez.  Stay on Alhambra Ave until Marina Vista. Turn left onto Marina Vista, Right on Talbart, then left on Carquinez Scenic Drive until just past the cemetery.  Turn left into the staging/parking area.

We will be switching to Monday evening runs April 4th.

3/6 Dirt Dog Run Rained Out

The weather experts on ABC7News have held firm with their forecast of moderate and strong rain storms this weekend.  Running on dirt (mud) or pavement will probably be quite unpleasant.  Consequently, no run this weekend.
