No Dirt Dog Run this Sunday

Hello Dirt Dog runners and joggers,
Hopefully you all enjoyed a pleasant Thanksgiving with your family and friends.
Because of the holiday weekend (and also the rainy forecast) we will not be running this Sunday November 30.

Hope to see you next Sunday if the rain lets up by then.

11/23 Dirt Dog Run rained out

2.  Greetings

The rain we've had so far this week has converted the local trails surface to slippery and sticky mud.  Consequently, there will be no Dirt Dog run Sunday, 11/23.

There will also be no run 11/30 because of the Thanksgiving weekend.

We hope to resume our Sunday morning runs December 7th, trail conditions permitting.

Fwd: Dirt Dog run Sunday 11/16 at 8:30 AM

Good morning Dirt Dog Runners, Joggers and Walkers,

This Sunday, November 16 at 8:30 we will meet for a 7 mile loop run in Martinez, behind the John Muir Home.
I will be out early to mark the course, which is a "lollipop" course; a loop at the end of an out and back.
So if seven miles is too far you can shorten it at any point, and run back the way you came.
Doug will be there to meet and greet, and I will sweep the course after all the runners have left.
Directions to the Start:
From 24/680 interchange
go North on 680 to Highway 4.
Take Highway 4 West
Exit at Alhambra Ave and turn left under freeway.
Immediately turn right on Franklin Canyon Road and park in the dirt lot on the corner of Alhambra and Franklin Canyon road.
From Berkeley:
Take 80 East to Highway 4
Take Highway 4 East to Stockton
Exit Alhambra ave in Martinez
Right on Alhambra

Happy Trails,
Doug and Alex

2.  Greetings

Sunday morning at 8:30 the Dirt Dog Trail Runners will return to Fernandez Ranch for a run of 4.65 miles with an option for a shorter course of 3.45 miles.  Bill will be out early marking the course and Doug will be at the start to get everyone going.  Doug will also have Dirt Dog decals at $1 each for anyone wanting one.

Driving Directions:  Take 680 North to Highway 4 West. After about 10 miles, take Exit 3 (Franklin Canyon exit).  Turn left and merge onto Highway 4 eastbound.  Take the first exit after Franklin Canyon Golf course onto Christie Road (Christie Road exit is immediately after a yellow sign reading "Narrow Subway").  Fernandez Ranch is 0.7 miles down the narrow Christie Road on your right.
We look forward to your joining our run.
