10/30 Dirt Dog Run Cancelled

All the rain we have had this week plus the forecast for more rain Sunday morning has caused us to cancel our planned run in Crockett Hills Regional Park.

However, Vivek will be at Rankin Park in Martinez running out and back on the Carquinez Scenic Highway, a lightly traveled road, at 8:30 Sunday morning and welcomes anyone wanting to join him.  Rankin Park can be reached from 680 North by exiting at Marina Vista and heading East through Martinez where the name changes to Carquinez Scenic Highway.  Turn left on Buckley Street and park in the park's parking lot.

Sunday morning at 8:30 the Dirt Dog Trail Runners will be running  in Briones Regional Park from the end of Old Briones Road in Martinez.  Chris will be out early marking a long course of 6 miles and a short course of 4.3 miles.  He ran the short course Thursday and reports the trails are in good condition.  Alex will be at the start to greet and sweep.

Our 10/30 run will have a Halloween theme.  Costumes are welcome and some surprises will be on the route.

10/16 Dirt Dog Run Cancelled

The significant rain forecast for Friday, Saturday night, and Sunday has caused us to cancel our planned out and back run on the Bear Creek Trail in Briones Reservoir.  Hopefully the trails will dry out and the sky won't weep next week so our 10/23 run can proceed as planned.
