11/1 Dirt Dog Run @ 8:30AM


Sunday morning at 8:30 Pacific Standard Time the Dirt Dog Trail Runners will be running in Briones Regional Park from the Alhambra Creek Staging Area.  There will be a 7.2 mile and a 4.2 mile course.  Chris will be out early marking the course and Alex will be at the start to greet and sweep.  Dogs are allowed on both courses.

Make sure to set your clocks back an hour Saturday night.

There is a $3 parking charge.

We are planning a moonlight run Monday 11/23.  Also, there will be no run Thanksgiving Weekend.

Driving Directions:  From the 680/24 Interchange take 680 North towards Martinez.  Exit onto Route 4 West towards Richmond.  Exit Route 4 at the Alhambra Ave exit and turn left at the bottom of the ramp onto Alhambra Ave.  Bear right onto Alhambra Valley Road.  At the stop sign turn left onto Reliez Valley Road.  The entrance to the Alhambra Creek Staging Area will be on your right.

10/25 Dirt Dog Run @ 8:30AM


Sunday morning at 8:30 the Dirt Dog Trail Runners will be running a loop course on Shell Ridge of about 5 miles from Indian Valley School in Walnut Creek.  Doug will be out early marking the course and Kat will be at the start to greet and sweep.

We are planning a moonlight run on 11/23 and hope the weather cooperates.  There will also be no run Thanksgiving Weekend.

Driving Directions:  From the 680/24 interchange take Ygnacio Valley Road towards Concord.  Turn right on Homestead (2nd light after Civic).  Turn left on Marshall.  Follow Marshall to the end of the road and park on Marshall in front of the school.

10/18 Dirt Dog Run @ 8:30AM


Sunday morning at 8:30 the Dirt Dog Trail Runners will be running an out and back course along San Pablo Reservoir from the Overlook Staging Area of Briones Reservoir.  We are starting at Overlook since parking is in short supply by the corner of San Pablo Dam Road and Bear Creek Road.  Chris will be out early marking the course and Vivek will be at the start to greet and sweep.

EBMUD Trail Pass Holders:  Please bring your pass and sign in for 4 runners.  Non-holders can find out about getting a pass at www.ebmud.com/recreation.

Tina has set up a Facebook page for us.  The page name is Dirt Dog Trail Runners.  It already has plenty of pictures.  Check it out.

Driving Directions: From the 680/24 Interchange take 24 West towards Oakland.  Exit at the Orinda exit and bear right onto San Pablo Dam road towards Richmond.  Turn right at the traffic light onto Bear Creek Road after you pass the EBMUD Water Processing Plant and road to the Sports Field.  Look for the parking lot on your left near the top of a long hill.

10/11 Dirt Dog Run @ 8:30AM


Sunday morning at 8:30 the Dirt Dog Trail Runners will be running a 6 mile loop course on Shell Ridge from Rockspring Place in Walnut Creek.  Ginny will be out early marking the course and Tina will be at the start to greet and sweep.  This is a dog friendly course.  Plan on an early arrival to be included in a picture Tina plans to post on Facebook.

Driving Directions:  From the 680/24 interchange take Ygnacio Valley Road towards Concord.  Turn right on Walnut Blvd (1st light after Civic).  Follow Walnut Blvd for about 2 miles.  Turn left on Rockspring Place which is just before the end of Walnut Blvd.  Park on the street where the Joaquin Ranch Trail crosses.

10/4 Dirt Dog run @ 8:30AM


Sunday morning at 8:30 the Dirt Dog Trail Runners will be running a 7 mile loop course in Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park from the Oak Tree Staging Area on Foothill Road in Pleasanton.  There will also be a 5 mile option.  Doug will be out early marking the course and Sonia will be at the start to get everyone going.  Sonia will also be sweeping up the course arrows.

Our long sleeve T-shirts have gone from the shirt supplier to the printer.  We're expecting delivery sometime this month.  Check your run announcements for when Doug will have the shirts for distribution.

Driving Directions:  From the 680/24 interchange take 680 South towards San Jose.  Exit at the Sunol exit.  Turn right at the bottom of the ramp and make an immediate right onto Castlewood Drive.  Follow Castlewood Drive past the golf course.  Turn left on Foothill Road.  Look for the parking lot on your right in a bit over 2 miles.
