Dirt Dog Run May 4 @ 6:30 pm

Hello Dirt Dog Runners and Joggers,
This Monday, we will again be out in Martinez, but this time we will be running in Briones Regional Park from the Alhambra Staging Area.
I will be out early to mark a course and Doug will be there to meet and greet. Mary Ann will be out later to sweep the course.

Directions to the start:

From Highway 24, take the Pleasant Hill exit and go North.
Turn Left onto Reliez Valley Rd
Follow that for several miles (and stop signs) until you see the Alhambra Staging Area  park entrance on your left and turn left there. Follow the road to the end and a large gravel parking lot.
(If  you cross an intersection with Alhambra Valley Rd, you have gone to far.)

Dirt Dog Run Monday 4/27 @ 6:30 pm

> Hello Dirt Dog Runners, Joggers and Walkers,
> This Monday evening, April 27 at 6:30 PM we will be doing a "lollipop" loop behind the John Muir house in Martinez. This course starts with a steep climb and loops at the end, then follows the same trail back to the start.
> I will be out early marking the course and Doug will be there to meet and greet and do sweeping duties as well.

> Go 680 North to Martinez.
> Take Hwy 4 WEST
> Exit at Alhambra Ave and turn Left under the freeway.
> Your second right (first right is freeway off ramp) will be Franklin Canyon Rd.
> The trail starts on the corner of Franklin Canyon Rd and Alhambra ave. Park in the dirt lot there, or on the street.

> From Berkeley:
> Take Hwy 80 East
> take Hwy 4 East to Martinez
> Exit on Alhambra Ave and turn right.
> First right is Franklin Canyon and you'll see the dirt lot on the corner

4/20 Dirt Dog Run @ 6:30PM

2. Greetings

Monday evening at 6:30 the Dirt Dog Trail Runners will be running the 6-1/2 mile Kings Canyon loop course in Upper San Leandro Reservoir from the Valle Vista staging area.  Doug will be out early marking the course and Mary Ann will be at the start to greet and sweep.

EBMUD Trail Pass Holders:  Please bring your pass and sign in for 4 runners.

Non pass holders need to sign in using the trail pass number of a pass aolder.  Information about getting a trail pass can be found at www.ebmud.com/recreation

Driving Directions:  From the 680/24 interchange take 24 towards Oakland.  Exit at the Central Lafayette exit.  Turn right at the bottom of the exit and make an immediate right under the freeway.  Turn right on Mt. Diablo Blvd and get in the left lane.  Turn left on Moraga Road.  Follow Moraga Road through Moraga where the name of the road changes to Canyon Road.  Look for the staging area on your left about a mile past the Catholic Church.

4/13 Dirt Dog Run @ 6:30PM

2. Greetings

Monday evening at 6:30 the Dirt Dog Trail Runners will be running an out and back course in Las Trampas Regional Park from the Hemme Staging Area.  The course is about 6 miles long with a significant hill at the start.  This is a dog friendly course.  Doug will be out early marking the course and will put down mile markers if he remembers.  Mary will be at the  start to get everyone going and sweep on her return.

Please make a note of our website - www.dirtdogtrailrunners.com  -  where you can access run announcements when you don't get an E-mail announcement.

Driving Directions:  From the 680/24 interchange take 680 South towards Dublin.  Exit at Stone Valley West.  Turn left on Danville Blvd.  Turn right on Hemme and follow it to the end.  The parking lot is small so later arrivals will need to park on the street.

Fw: 4/6 Dirt Dog Run @ 6:30PM





2. Greetings

Monday evening at 6:30 the Dirt Dog Trail Runners will be running a 5 mile loop course from Indian Valley School in Walnut Creek.  Doug will be out early marking the course with arrows identified with a "D" and Kat will be at the start to get everyone going and sweep the course arrows.

The course:  We will go left at the start on the Briones-Diablo Trail.  After crossing a paved road we will bear right onto a fire road on the back side of Shell Ridge.  We will follow the Coral Spring and Costandan Trails past the Ginder Gap to Borges Ranch.  We will cross Shell Ridge at Borges Ranch and return to the start on the Briones-Diablo Trail.

Driving Directions:  From the 680/24 interchange take Ygnacio Valley Road towards Clayton.  Turn right on Homestead (2nd light after Civic).  Turn left on Marshall Drive and follow it to the end.  Park on Marshall in from of Indian Valley School.
