2/21 Dirt Dog Run @ 9AM

2.  Greetings

Saturday morning at 9 the Dirt Dog Trail Runners will be joining the Trail Time Runners on a run to the recently installed Randy Sampson Memorial Bench on the Elderberry Trail in Las Trampas Regional Park.  A pot lot brunch picnic will follow the run in the parking lot.  Here's their announcement.

Join us this Saturday at 9am (Randy's favorite start time) for a 7 mile run or 2 mile hike (one way) to visit the Randy Sampson memorial bench! Hikers and runners should arrive at the bench at about the same time.
We will have a picnic afterwards near the parking lot (Randy always loved a good party) so bring some goodies to share. If you want to join us just for the picnic, we should be there around 11am.

We will start at the END of Bollinger Canyon Road (see more info below) and will be running Las Trampas. Dave Stark will be leading the way (thanks Dave). For anyone who wants to do more miles, Dave will be starting at 7am. Post below or connect with Dave if you are interested.

Directions: Exit 680 South at Crow Canyon Road and go west.  Turn right on Bollinger Canyon Road.  Las Trampas is all the way at the west end of Bollinger Canyon Rd. It is 4.4 miles from the intersection of Bollinger Canyon and Crow Canyon. You will pass stables on the left side of the road, and go though a gate, and over a couple of speed bumps. The parking lot is on the left side at the very end. We will meet in the parking lot at the trail head at 9am.
Contact Dina at 925-819-0644 if late or lost. Hope to see you there!

Dirt Dog Run Announcements

2.  Howdy Dirt Dog Trail Runner

This is one of our periodic surveys to make sure everyone we are
sending run announcements to wants to get them.  Please read the paragraphs
below and act according to the one that best fits you.

If you are receiving weekly run announcements and want to keep getting
them do nothing.  We will keep you on the list.  This also applies to
those that aren't sure if they do or don't.

If you are receiving weekly run announcements and are no longer
interested please reply to me, Doug, (dlsruns@sbcglobal.net) with a quick note
saying please take me off the list.

If you have a friend interested in trail runs send me their E-mail
address and I will add them to the run announcement list.

Remember, it is easier for Alex and I to keep you on the list if you
are not sure than it is to take you off.

Many thanks for reading and reacting to this message.

2/8 Dirt Dog Run Rained Out

2.  Greetings

I just got home from visiting my sister in Arizona and had to drive through very heavy rain the final hour.  Turned on the TV and learned more rain is forecast for Saturday and Sunday.  Muddy trails are slippery and sticky.  Add water to the mix and they become dangerous.  Consequently no run this weekend.  Hopefully trail conditions will improve next weekend and we can run my planned run in Briones Reservoir.
