2/2 Dirt Dog Run @ 8:30AM

2.  Greetings

Sunday morning at 8:30 the Dirt Dog Trail Runners will be running an out and back course on the Oursan Trail from the Bear Creek Staging Area of Briones Reservoir.  Please not the run is in Briones Reservoir, not Briones Park.  Since it is an out and back course on fire roads, the course will not be marked.  Doug will be at the start to get everyone going.  You can choose your own distance.  (It's 13 miles if you decide to circle the reservoir.)  Dogs on a leash are permitted on the Oursan Trail.

EBMUD Trail Pass Holders:  Please bring your pass and sign in for 4 runners so we are all legit on the trails.  Non pass holders can get information about the passes and apply for one at www.ebmud.com.  Go to the Recreation page and look for "trail passes" at the bottom of the page.

Driving Directions:  From the 680/24 interchange take 24 towards Oakland.  Exit at the Central Lafayette exit and turn left on Deer Hill Road at the bottom of the ramp.  Follow Deer Hill Road past the BART parking lots to its end.  Turn right on Happy Valley Road and follow it to the end.  Turn right on Bear Creek Road and make an immediate left into the Staging Area parking lot.

We look forward to your joining our run.

Dirt Dog E-mail

Howdy Dirt Dog Trail Runner

This is one of our periodic surveys to make sure everyone we are
sending run announcements to wants to get them.  Please read the paragraphs
below and act according to the one that best fits you.

If you are receiving weekly run announcements and want to keep getting
them do nothing.  We will keep you on the list.  This also applies to
those that aren't sure if they do or don't.

If you are receiving weekly run announcements and are no longer
interested please reply to me, Doug, (dlsruns@sbcglobal.net) with a quick note
saying please take me off the list.

If you have a friend interested in trail runs send me their E-mail
address and I will add them to the run announcement list.

Remember, it is easier for Alex and I to keep you on the list if you
are not sure than it is to take you off.

Many thanks for reading and reacting to this message.

Doug

1/13 Dirt Dog Run @ 6:30PM

2.  Greetings

It's time for another moonlight run after all the favorable comments from the first moonlighter.

Monday evening at 6:30PM the Dirt Dog Trail Runners will be running an out and back course on the Briones - Mt Diablo trail from Indian Valley School in Walnut Creek.  The full moon and early moonrise should provide plenty of light.  It's about 2-1/4 miles to the gate above Borges Ranch where Doug turns but many folks go further up the trail.  Doug will be at the start to get everyone going on time.  The course will not be marked.

Driving Directions:  From the 680/24 interchange take Ygnacio Valley Road towards Concord.  Turn right on Homestead (2nd light after Civic).  Turn left on Marshall.  Drive to the end of Marshall and park on the street in front of the school.

We look forward to your joining our run.
